a big part of norht-holland was already dryed in 1200 ad by the westfriese omringdijk while the map still showing ages of water over there
I believe its missing the 2e maasvlakte
As a Somali, we're not ARAB! And those yrs you called “Stable years" were worst years for us!
Market Garden failed due to hubris. The Allies really thought the Germans were beaten - overconfidence, and everything going wrong that could go wrong. Coup de Main attacks to take the bridges - like with Pegasus, were ruled out as too risky. Landing in the built up areas, too risky. Having two SS Panzer Divisions deciding to R&R at Arnhem between planning and execution was a massive oops. Biggest single point of failure - not taking Nijmegen bridge while it was virtually unguarded all day, and only trying in the late evening, and being beaten by to it by an SS Panzer battlegroup coming down from Arnhem. That 2 day delay to cross Nijmegen, loss of the south end of Arnhem on the evening of the 4th day and Panzer battlegroups blocking the way... all over.
we were weak tho using outdated tech
2:38 Some crazy masked arabs with turrets on toyotas has spawned
The map is incorrect, because the Zuiderzee did not exist yet. Only the Flevomeer existed and it drained in the towns of Castricum and Schoorl
How did Al Nusra control eastern Aleppo when in For Sama it is sayed that the Islamists failed to capture it?
Isis really made the same mistake as Nazi Germany. Were extremely powerful with a good strategy but everyone hated them and ultimately they all worked together to eradicate them
Well the kurd got benefits 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
The Dutch-Sea War. Winner: Netherlands (Stalemate)
Kong di lang dahil sa mga hostages ng mga isis malayo lang isang buwan ubos na sana sila
Salamat!
so the 'hilversum' were some kind of germanic tribe entering these lands first ? i love that! it means they're right to be arrogant in hilversum😉
Gekoloniseerd
you mean the american failed try to destroy syria
The island Borkum (Germany) is not belonging to the Netherlands :-)
You missed the southern part, nowadays calles Belgium.
The Zuiderzee was created in the ninth century. So the entire map is completely wrong.
Despite Netherlands surrendered in 5 days, the Dutch actually had less casualties than the Germans during the invasion
battle royale 💀
Define Germanic tribes?????
Wow, Frisia!
Bashar al Assad is a real monster! Down with Assad, Long live Free Syria. Greetings from Romania 🇷🇴 🤝 🇸🇾
all the respect. And I love Romania from Syria ❤
Brabant en Frankrijk

Souce? This is a rough estimation and not that accurate
Denmark 🤡🇩🇰: give up after 6 hours Netherland 🇳🇱💪🏽 :

Isis is the real devil! Glad they all died
does anyone who’s still here have any sources on hezbollah’s takeover in lebanese cities? i tried searching but couldn’t find any results
Love from the USA - please know that we condemn the actions of our politicians and their continuous involvement in these affairs - we just want you all to live peaceful lives. We sadly have no say in what the government does with our taxes - sadly, in this case, they use our money to teach young men how to kill each other and operate in cells.
Syrian here People like us who lived under the assad regime We say the same thing to the rebels Those are syrians like us but the government is fighting them and we had no say in that So I understand what you said🤝🏻❤
Something that would have been more accurate was if Sudan was marked as "civil war" the entire time since that's usually how it is.
So Frenchies. If you want to know where you are from. Franks are your ancestors like its ours.
Not really. Franks were germanic people and most french aren’t related
note how ineffective the rebels are through the whole war and how they are clinging to the border, where all their weapons pour in from foreign countries, and how ISIS are the only effective "opposition group" to Assad. It is hard to believe some people were so dumb that they believed the rebels were a genuine uprising
Some rebels joined ISIS they saw it as the only way to take down assad Look at 2:37 To right of the map and see how ISIS appeared
Something interesting that doesn't get discussed is that the allies were still able to capture and hold a large salient into German occupied Nederlands at a rapid pace. Usually Market Garden is farmed in the terms of "paratroopers failed, they were captured, status quo casus belli."
Do you mean status quo ante bellum? But yeah you make a good point
Loved the map but maybe it would be great to show the political units in the H.R.E. instead of showing it as H.R.E.
to clear up confusion, the Frisians and Frisii are totally different people. The Frisians of today are pretty much saxon, hence why the english language has Frisian as its closest relative. The Frisii were also germanic but just not of the same origin..
Its still going
God made man, but man made the Netherlands
Anyone who put boss music when the ISIS appear on their video is a man of culture
The map didn't show the Socotra Archipelago, which is controlled by the Southern Transitional Council.
A large part of Limburg and Gelderland were mainly speaking German/Dutch dialects until around 1900.
“And the german language would be abolished”
Nah I would already be dead in that time it would not even take long from them
This is super interesting and useful. I realise that you havent posted a video in four years, but I figured i'd try and make a suggestion for a map that nobodys done yet that i can find (as you say in your about you're interested in making): I would LOVE absolutely LOVE to see something like this for the eastern and western eurasian steppe from 5000 BC or so. This type of timelapse mapping is SO enlightening. So basically i guess more of a prehistory of peoples. Like the yamnaya culture and etc. Other every year maps seem to focus much more on states and dynasties.
I form the Netherlands
Kansloos zo snel opgegeven laf.
